It's summer

I can’t believe that it’s already summer. I seriously didn’t think I was going to survive last semester. I can’t believe I’m already calling it last semester. What seemed like a long drawn out process is now something of the past. Now I don’t have to deal with bad professors and stupid homework assignments that don’t really help in my progression as a student. Well, I guess I might have to deal with those things next semester, but for now I have a big summer ahead of me. I have many things planned... In a few days I will be flying out to Tennessee to see my mom for two weeks. I can’t believe it’s been three years since I last saw her. I have no clue what to expect, so I’m freaking out. When I get back from Tennessee, I will be starting the new season of true blood. Now anyone who knows me knows how obsessed I am over that show, so I’m highly excited for it. There are plenty of other things that I have planned for this summer, but not everything involves an activity. This summer I’m working on doing some sole searching. I need to learn more about myself. I need to be able to tell someone what I like in life when I first meet them without pausing to think. I need to feel freer to express myself, and I need to learn to let go of the things that hold me in my past. It’s time to look forward to the future, and whatever it brings. I tend to hold onto things that happened in my past, and that distracts me from enjoying things that are happening in my life now. I want to enjoy the little things in life. I want to read more books, and I really want to finish one of my novels that I write. Now that I’m not worried about studying for a test, I’m going to make time for the things that I love in life. I've already discovered one of my new passions, fishing. I never thought I was going to love fishing because it looked boring, and “too manly” to me; but I absolutely love it. I went fishing for the first time this weekend, and it felt natural and relaxing. I could spend a whole day at a lake with a fishing pole casted out into the water. I want to go on a big fishing trip with friends, or even my family. I want this summer to be filled with fun memories, and many learning experiences. I just need to learn how to use my time wisely. I have a good feeling about everything. This summer is what I make it.

I'm back!

Not that I've been gone long, or that anyone even cares. I'm back and I plan on blogging more. A lot has happened In my life since I last posted. I will be blogging about things that happen in my life, and about things that I find important.
